On 13th July 2019, the anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima, faithful families and clerics from all over France and abroad gathered in the priory of Father Pivert at Villeneuve to attend the ordination of Fr Marcel of the Cross, a member of Fr Pivert’s community
After the ordination ceremony which was performed by Bishop Williamson – and the First Blessings of the new priest, a big lunch was prepared by the faithful. Loyal people of all ages, often lonely, preferring to read Mass at home rather than being contaminated by error, had the pleasure of meeting each other, united by the beautiful work of Catholic fidelity.
After lunch, Father Pivert made a moving speech about this promising young priest.
On Sunday, July 14, Father Marcel of the Cross celebrated his first Mass.
Let us pray much for this new priest whom God has given to our spiritual family in these difficult times of the Church.
